Founded in 1973, Placid Industries was originally located in Lake Placid, NY. In June 2018, Placid completed a merger with SEPAC, Inc., a custom engineering company and manufacturer of motion control products including electromagnetic clutches and brakes, and relocated to its state-of-the-art facility in Elmira, NY.
