Power Supplies
Use these constant current power supplies with magnetic particle brakes & clutches, and hysteresis brakes. These precise units maintain current levels regardless of brake or clutch coil resistance changes due to heating. Available in both 110 and 220 VAC (50/60 Hz) configurations.
Follower Arm Potentiometers
MAINTAIN CONSTANT TENSION – The follower arm potentiometer is used to maintain constant tension when using a brake for producing unwind (payout) tension, or when using a clutch for rewind tension.
Ultrasonic Sensor
MAINTAIN CONSTANT TENSION – The ultrasonic sensor is used for maintaining constant tension when using a brake for producing unwind (payout) tension, or when using a clutch for rewind tension.
Signal Isolation Card
The Signal Isolation Card ‘SIC’ powers the Ultrasonic Sensor. The Ultrasonic Sensor measures the diameter of the roll in order to keep tension constant as the roll size changes and sends a 0-10 VDC signal to the ‘SIC’. The SIC's 0-10 VDC output signal controls a Placid Industries PST power supply. Web tension is adjusted by the Tension Adjustment Potentiometer.
