Torque Curve Torque is -
  • Proportional to input current
  • Independent of RPM

Characteristics - With no electrical excitation, the input shaft & output shaft freely rotate.
With electrical excitation, the output shaft becomes coupled to the input shaft.

While the load torque is less than the output torque, the clutch drives without slip. When the load torque is increased, the clutch will slip smoothly at the torque level set by the coil input current.

Use the sizing information to select the proper clutch.

Ultrasonic Sensor - For Constant Tension Unwinding & Rewinding

The ultrasonic sensor measures the diameter of the roll, to keep tension constant as roll diameter changes.
The user adjusts tension via a remote potentiometer.

The Signal Isolation Card powers the ultrasonic sensor.   The 0-10 volt signal controls the power supply.




Tension Controller / Power Supply & Hall Switch - For Constant Tension Unwinding & Rewinding

ZXM-32 photo   The ZHS Hall Switch senses shaft rotations. The ZXM-32 Tension Controller / Power Supply calculates the diameter of the roll, based on the web thickness and number of roll rotations. Output current is automatically changed to keep tension constant as roll diameter changes.
