Tensioning

Tensioning torque can be varied infinitely from near zero (off) to rated torque by varying input current.

Unwind drawing Brakes provide smooth, variable tensioning torque for unwinding (payout) of film, fabric, wire or any web.
Rewind Drawing Clutches provide the same smooth tensioning torque for rewinding webs.

Constant Tension Controls

A Placid Industries power supply and follower arm potentiometer or ultrasonic sensor may be used to maintain constant tension, even when roll diameters are changing.
